How to Make the Perfect White Rice Every Time

I am not sure exactly why White Rice is so tricky to cook.
Either it is hard and uncooked or starchy and mushy. There is a fine line of a few minutes *if not watched, that can ruin your Rice in an instant.

How to Cook Perfect White Rice Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 tsp. Butter
- 3/4 tsp. Salt
- 1 cup White Rice
- 2 cups Water
Instructions
- In a saucepan, melt Butter.
- Add White Rice and stir for one minute until fully coated.
- Add Water and Salt.
- Reduce heat to super low.
- * Cover with tight fitting lid. Make sure the lid has air holes or cock the lid to let out steam.
- Simmer on low 10 minutes. Do not stir. The water should have all boiled off the top.
- Shut the Heat OFF. Cover tightly with the lid and let it sit to Steam for another 10 minutes untouched.
- Lift the lid and lightly fluff with a fork. Cover again and leave for 2 minutes.
Total Time: 22 Minutes. (10 minutes Simmered super low. Steamed for 10 minutes. Rested for 2 minutes before Serving).
Perfect Rice Every Time.
- If your Rice starts overflowing – lift the lid to release the Steam. Then re-cover and lower the heat even more. The trick is low and slow Steaming. No stirring until the end.
