1 ½ pound chicken drumsticks

1 cup BBQ sauce

3 tablespoons honey

4 tablespoons brown sugar

½ cup tamarind pulp

2 tablespoons lime juice

1 teaspoon ginger paste

1 teaspoon garlic paste

2 tablespoons fish sauce

2 tablespoons coconut oil

For Tamarind Sauce:

½ cup tamarind pulp

¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon lime juice

Salt to taste


  • In a large bowl add tamarind pulp, BBQ sauce, garlic paste, lime juice, fish sauce, honey, brown sugar, and coconut oil, mix well until brown sugar is dissolved.
  • Now add in chicken drumsticks and stir well to combine.
  • Cover bowl with a plastic sheet and place aside for 30-40 minutes.
  • Now heat your grill on hot coals or a campfire.
  • Brush grill with some cooking oil or butter.
  • Place drumstick on hot grills and leave to prepare for 4-5 minute preside.
  • Now turn the sides and brush drumsticks with remaining marinade (if any) and cook for 3-4 minutes. Cook until nicely cooked from both sides.
  • When done transfer to serving platter and serve hot.
  • Enjoy your delight.

For Making Tamarind Sauce:

  • Take a mixing bowl and add in tamarind pulp, lime juice, salt, and cayenne pepper. Stir well until combined.
  • Serve with hot and spicy chicken drumsticks.
