Best Barbecue Shows on TV

It all started in the 1950’s with the introduction of the Home Grill.

We all started the same way. Learning to build a fire using charcoal, and grilling our meats fast, creating a gorgeous sear and tender juicy inside. The smell surrounding you as you cooked. These are the Traditions our parents and grandparents showed us.

Umami is a Term used for Savory Flavor along with Salty, Sweet, Sour and Bitter. Its something our Taste Buds recognize through our Taste Receptors. Many of us believe that Smoke falls into that Category. Although, Science has proved that Smoke is not so much Tasted as Smelled. Smoke contains gases, water vapor and particles from wood combustion. It Triggers a Sense lodged in our Limbic System. A part in our Brain that Triggers Emotion and long term Memories.

So, whether you are Remembering fond family BBQ’s or Triggering an Ancient Primal Need to set fire, smoke and cook, we have all evolved from being Grillmasters to trying to smoke and Master our Pits.

Smoking is a Technique of Cooking, Low and Slow over Indirect Heat using Charcoal and Wood Chunks or Pellets for a long period of time.

In our Journey, we have come across the Best TV has to offer to Teach Us. Tips and Tricks from Pro’s who have Almost Mastered the Niche (we never stop learning).
