, Free Cooking and BBQ Magazine

One of the most important aspects of a BBQ is the preparation process. Preparing, marinating and seasoning your food is the hardest part of grilling food. The rest of the grilling process is simply flipping the food over and fully cooking the food.

While the preparation process is important, it is also a lot easier than most people know. Seasoning and prepping the food takes time, but it is quite simple. Here is how to make seasoning simple.

Much like marinade sauce, there is a market for spices and seasoning. Companies have prioritized combining the right spices into a seasoning product. If you are inclined to do so, buying seasoning can be a great help.

One of the most popular seasonings comes from the Montreal seasoning line. You can purchase Montreal Steak & Montreal Chicken seasoning from a local grocery store or even If you are inexperienced with seasoning, then do not waste time trying to make your own. If you want to make your own seasoning, then that is quite easy as well. There are websites and books dedicated to crafting seasoning. These books and websites feature different kinds of seasonings for different kinds of food. A great basic started rub is;

1/2 tsp Garlic powder

1/2 tsp Onion Powder

1/4 tsp Salt

1/4 tsp Pepper

Simply mix, sprinkle on your meat, pat in (you don’t necessarily need to rub, per se) and let rest for a few hours prior to cooking.

A great place to find seasoning recipes is on You Tube. As a matter of fact, you can find recipes for meals and food, not just seasoning. If you want to craft a seasoning from scratch, then look for FREE Advice there for help or search our Recipes for Seasoning Ideas. SEARCH RECIPES
